Chaos in America: the perilous path ahead

Tuesday, January 19, 2021 12:30to13:30

On the eve of the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden, join us for a special panel discussion exploring the deep divisions in American society and what forces led to right-wing extremists laying siege to the U.S. Capitol.

Hear from a McGill graduate and documentary filmmaker who spent four years embedded with leaders of the alt-right movement, as well as a leading American political commentator and Visiting Professor at McGill. Together they will deconstruct this climate of chaos and discord, explain what it means for the future of America, and underline the importance of these developments for Canada and other countries.

Register here.

Speakers

Daniel Lombroso, BA'15, filmmaker and journalist, Director of White Noise, an inside look at the alt-right movement in the United States and Canada.

David Shribman, former Washington Bureau Chief of The Boston Globe and former executive editor of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; Visiting Professor at McGill's Max Bell School of Public Policy.
