1. Why are drugs that are considered dangerous still on the market?
There is always a balance between benefit and risk when using a medication. For example, chemotherapy drugs often have dangerous side effects but they may cure cancer.
Furthermore a medicine may be dangerous in patients with certain concomitant diseases (poor function of the heart or kidneys, for example) but not in other patients.
