McGill researchers provide Canadian perspective at climate change conference
Global climate change has the potential to seriously impact human health. How can Canada, with its forests and farmlands, achieve a sustainable bioeconomy? McGill experts Paul Thomassin and Don Smith make their response at BIOCAP - Capturing Canada's Green Advantage: Towards a Sustainable Bioeconomy conference.
The BIOCAP conference, a parallel event to COP 11, will be held in Montreal on December 7. National experts will discuss the Canadian carbon cycle, the forest sector's contribution to addressing climate change, the sustainability of forest biomass production for energy, and a host of other environmental issues from a distinctly Canadian perspective.

Don Smith, McGill professor and Chair, Department of Plant Science, and Professor Paul Thomassin, Department of Agricultural Economics, will be presenting at the session titled "Adding Value in Agriculture through Climate Change Solutions."
