Major breakthrough in glaucoma education and awareness
A project two years in the making…
It is with great pride that the McGill Glaucoma Centre of the Jewish general hospital announces that we will donating copies of our DVD ‘’ I Have Glaucoma’’ to ALL public libraries in Quebec. 
Following agreements with the Government of Quebec and it’s 2 public libraries organizations: Le Réseau BIBLIO du Québec, catering to all cities of less that 5000 residents ( M. Alain Guimond. Président, Mme Sylvie Thibault directrice générale ) and les Bibliothèques Publiques du Québec for all public libraries in cities of more that 5000 people (Mme Eve Lagacé, general director) our organizations will be offering to the population of Quebec the opportunity to inform themselves on glaucoma through their local public library.
This was made possible through a generous donation from The Quebec Glaucoma Foundation (Olena Harasymowycz) Anybody in every town, every village on Quebec territory will have access to our DVD that otherwise was accessible only to health-care personnel.
Initially, this DVD project was made possible by the combined contributions of Alcon, Allergan, Merck-Frosst and Pfizer.
That’s right: Not only in major cities but even in villages will citizens be able to get information on ‘’The silent Thief of Sight’’ Places you may never heard of: Riviere-Eternite, Baie-Trinite, Nordmétal, Macamie, St-Onésime d’Ixworth, St-Fortunat, Wetotaci, Cap-aux-Os, Roxton-Pond. All of Québec will be covered.
This DVD starring Doctor Oscar Kasner and Nurse Carole Desharnais produced by the audio-visual department of the Jewish General hospital is still available to healthcare specialist, Doctors or hospitals on request.
All this, just in time for World Glaucoma Week !
