Residency Training Program

The Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology Residency Program fulfils all the essential global and specific training requirements outlined by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), adhering to sequence, duration, and curriculum content. The Department is committed to integrating CanMEDS roles within the residency training framework, emphasizing medical expert, communicator, collaborator, manager, health advocate, scholar, and professional facets.

Notably, our program has maintained a track record of success in recruiting top-tier candidates and passing of the Canadian Royal College License Examination. We have successful post-graduate job placement both in academic and community practice settings.

Our residency program provides a 5-year comprehensive training designed to train highly skilled pathologists capable of excelling in diverse clinical environments, encompassing both academic and community settings. Our trainees become medical experts in pathology, collaborators with other health care professionals inside and outside of the laboratory, as well as successful leaders and teachers within their field.
