Information for Patients

Welcome to the Best Practices in Psychology Portal. Our national team of researchers, clinicians and students are committed to disseminating the best available knowledge and tools to clinicians, so that the best possible care can be provided to all.

The Best Practices in Psychology Portal is an online hub for psychologists, psychological trainees, other mental and behavioural health providers, and users of mental health services across Canada, connecting research and practice by providing the latest evidence-based resources, information, and tools.  Find out more about incorporating evidence-based practice, progress monitoring, clinical practice guidelines, practice research networks, and clinical tools in your work.  Watch videos to learn from clinicians, researchers, and students, and download tools and measures that you can implement in your clinical practice today.

The Best Practices in Psychology Portal was developed by a national team of researchers and clinicians, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and supported by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), including several CPA sections (Clinical Psychology, Psychologists in Hospitals and Health Centres; Health Psychology and Behavioural Medicine, and Students Section).
