Association Internationale des Études Québécoises (AIEQ) & McGill Bursary

The President of the Association Internationale des études québécoises (AIEQ), Professor Claude Hauser, signed an agreement on November 3, 2021 between the AIEQ and the Faculty of Arts of McGill University to create the "AIEQ/Quebec Studies Program (QSP) Scholarships for the Minor in Quebec Studies and Community-Engaged Learning". The objective of these scholarships is to stimulate the choice of Quebec as a topic of study undergraduate students at McGill University who did their previous studies outside Quebec. AIEQ President Claude Hauser welcomed the partnership with McGill University, which «is entirely consistent with the AIEQ's objectives of developing the next generation of Quebec studies students».

Professor David Wright, Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs of the Faculty of Arts at McGill, signed the agreement on behalf of Interim Dean Mary Hunter. Prof. David Wright noted that "the Faculty of Arts is pleased to support the creation of the AIEQ-Quebec Studies Program scholarships for the Quebec Studies and Community-Engaged Learning Minor because it is a Minor that is perfectly designed for students outside Quebec that want to know more about Quebec. McGill students can therefore acquire basic knowledge about Quebec while having the opportunity to experience out-of-class learning through the Experiential learning component of the Quebec Studies Program (QSP)."

Professor Daniel Béland, Director of the Quebec Studies Program, said he was "pleased to see that four (4) $1,750 scholarships will be offered to McGill students from outside Quebec to support their choice to pursue the Minor in Quebec Studies and Community Engaged Learning.
