Awarding Non-McGill Recipients

There are circumstances where faculties/departments hold competitions that are open to universities across Quebec and/or Canada. This can result in award winners/recipients being non-McGill students. In such cases, McGill cannot issue award payments to students that have no official ties to the University such as being registered as a student, an employee or a research trainee. However, arrangements can be made with the awardee's home University to issue the award payment.

Awarding units should contact the Fund Administrator responsible for the funding source of the award being issued.

Financial Services will provide guidance and facilitate the process if deemed eligible according to fund or grant guidelines.
