Live on campus while studying abroad

Rent

Lease is from August 15, 2024 to December 23, 2024 and/or January 4, 2025 - May 4, 2025.

Rent includes:

  • use of laundry facilities
  • electricity
  • hot water
  • heating
  • internet

Meal Plan

Exchange students are assigned a mandatory Saver Meal Plan of $1800 per semester that can be used on over 20 on-campus dining locations. The Saver Meal Plan expires at the end of December for the fall semester and at the end of April for the winter semester, so make sure to use the food dollars before that date as any unused balance is non-refundable.

Traditional Dormitory

  • Dormitory-style with shared co-ed washroom facilities centrally located on each floor.
  • 40 single and double rooms housing 45 students.
  • Students living in this residence are on a Saver Meal Plan.
  • Rooms are furnished with a twin size bed and mattress, desk, chair, dresser, bookshelf, lamp, drapery, wastepaper basket.
  • Residence floors accessed through card reader at all times but main door and first floor of the building is open to public during business office hours.

    Shared Housing

    • This larger exchange residence houses 30 students in single rooms.
    • All rooms are fully furnished and students share common rooms including living rooms, kitchens, washrooms and on site laundry.
    • A short walking distance to campus.
    • Students living in this residence are on a Saver Meal Plan.

    This beautiful building is situated southwest of McGill's downtown campus, near the Atwater Market and the Lachine Canal, where you can enjoy:

    • A vibrant and diverse neighborhood with plenty of shops, cafes, and cultural events

    • Scenic and relaxing walks, bike rides, or rollerblading along the water
    • With only four subway stops away from the main campus, you can easily access downtown in minutes
     

    Facilities

    • Apartment style housing with kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom. The building has a computer lab, TV lounge, study room, and a games room (pool table, piano and arcade games). Apartments have spacious interiors, high ceilings and oversized windows that flood with plenty of natural light.
    • There is a total of 105 apartments housing 280 students in studio units, double rooms and 2, 3, 4 bedroom apartments.
    • Apartments are furnished with twin size bed and mattress (some may be loft beds), desk, dresser, bookshelf, lamp, drapery. Kitchens and living areas have a refrigerator, stove, dining table and chairs, sofa, lamp, and drapery.
    • Front desk Monday - Friday 9h00 to 17h00 and roving security agents. Locked entrance with intercom.
    • On-site maintenance staff, storage, underground parking available (extra fee).
