Information for prospective guests

Before making a reservation inquiry, please take note of the following:

How we prioritize reservation requests

Accommodation at Bellairs is primarily for instructors, students, researchers and other visitors whose activities are related to our education and research mission. When availability allows, we may also be able to accommodate guests whose activities are not related to our mission (e.g. leisure travellers).

Priority is given to reservation requests in the following order:

  1. Full-semester university courses run by McGill University or any other institution. To inquire, please contact bellairs-enquiries.science [at] mcgill.ca
  2. Short university courses run by McGill University or any other institution. To inquire, please contact bellairs-enquiries.science [at] mcgill.ca
  3. Academic workshops. To inquire, please complete our online inquiry form. For more information regarding workshop scheduling at Bellairs, visit our academic workshops page.
  4. Research activities conducted by McGill University or any other institution. To inquire, please contact bellairs-enquiries.science [at] mcgill.ca

Where more than one request is received for the same period, the Administration reserves the right to make a final decision as to which request will be confirmed. Such decisions will be made according to principles of fairness and impartiality, taking into consideration such criteria as the number of participants, length of stay and previous reservation history.

All other reservation requests from guests whose activities are not related to Bellairs’ academic and research mission (e.g. vacation bookings) will be managed through a waiting list on a first-come-first-served basis. Once Bellairs has confirmed all of its mission-related reservations, we will respond to these requests with details of availability. Reservations of this kind must be confirmed a minimum of one month in advance. To inquire, please contact bellairs-enquiries.science [at] mcgill.ca.
