Procurement of rainfall and water level instrumentation

In 2008, CARIWIN procured instrumentation for monitoring water level and rainfall in the pilot communities of Grenada, Guyana and Jamaica. The sites selected for installing these instruments were:

- Castaigne Bridge, Great River, Grenada
- St. Cuthbert's Amerindian Mission, Mahaica River, Guyana
- Silver Spring, Rio Nuevo watershed, Mile Gully, Jamaica

The instruments purchased for each country comprised:

- Steven's SDI encoders for recording water level
- Steven's float, pulley and counterweights (accessories)
- AxSys dataloggers for recording rainfall and water level
- Staff gauge (0-6.66 ft)
- TB3 tipping bucket rain gage
- Power supply (solar panel, battery, charge regulators)
