Specimen requirements
- Dipstick:
- Freshly collected urine, ideally several milliliters, in a suitable leak-proof container.
- Submit specimens as soon as possible on the day of collection.
- Specimens that cannot be submitted immediately after collection must be refrigerated.
- Do not submit specimens more than 24 hours after collection.
- Urine Biochemistry:
- Freshly collected urine in a suitable leak-proof container.
- 50uL minimum for each analyte.
- Refrigerate specimens after collection and submit as soon as possible.
