Larissa is a germanic philologist with an interest in academic communication. Her dissertation explores the meaning of success in research funding. She examines construction of persuasion in the research grant proposal as enabled by the multidimensional - intellectual, institutional, and interactive - space of academic knowledge production. Her work, with its focus on how disciplinary gate-keepers evolve strategies for success, has significance for early career researchers.
