Shuhua Chen

Shuhua became a doc-worker when she was a graduate student at McGill University under Dr. Lynn McAlpine’s supervision. She then participated in multiple research projects on the learning experience of doctoral students and career development of doctoral graduates. She helped establish McGill’s first graduate supervision website, responsible for editing and developing web pages. Her doctoral dissertation explored doctoral students’ experience in the final dissertation defense. Shuhua is now Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Her research interests include graduate students’ learning experience and career preparation, assessment and evaluation in doctoral education, early career academics’ experience and researcher development.
