A. Steps for Website Editing

  1. Take the necessary web training

    McGill website administrators, managers, and editors are required to complete Web Services training to create and maintain McGill websites. Please see the table below for the list of required/mandatory courses by roles.

    To register these courses, please visit the Training Request Form on Minerva. In addition to completing the required courses, new site administrators, managers, and editors need to fill out the User Access Guidelines Form to obtain access to WMS sites.

  2. Learn and stay up-to-date on McGill’s Digital Standards

    McGill's Digital Standards provide an overview of  the criteria for creating and managing McGill websites and online services to help make them more accessible, user-friendly, and secure. All website administrators, managers, and editors should follow these best practices.

     

  3. Get a website consultation (for large-scale website revisions)

    McGill's Web Services team offers consultation support for large-scale web projects, such as site redesign. Their support includes user experience research and design, site analysis, content optimization, layout implementation, and more to help create the best website to suit your needs.

B. Website Support Drop-in Hours and Labs

Need help implementing your website design ideas? Have a question about some of the WMS editing features? Our team is here to help. We offer hands-on assistance for website editors, managers, and administrators through MS Teams or in-person.
