Talk given by Prof. Robert Montgomerie from Queen's University and hosted by ROAAr, McGill Library.
When: April 21, 2018
Location: Thomson House Ballroom
Description
Ornithologist and evolutionary biologist Bob Montgomerie gives a bird's eye view on the weird and wonderful colours of birds and the way bird eyes perceive colour. ROAAr went on the road to offer a public lecture on a Saturday, outside of regular opening hours. Three paintings from the Blacker-Wood Collection were on display for birders and enthusiasts to admire.
Program Notes: Introduction by Victoria Dickenson, Adjunct Professor, Blacker-Wood Consultant. See Bob Montgomerie's Blog for current research in ornithology and bird vision.
