The data on this CD enables one to do the exercises in the accompanying book, “ArcView GIS Means Business” by Christian Harder. The data contains vector, raster, and tabular data from real locations around the U.S.A. at a variety of scales (national, state, county, and city). The exercises walk the user through actual analyses the businesses that contributed the data performed to make business decisions.

System Requirements

To view and extract vector and raster data from this CD, you may use ArcView 3.x or ArcGIS 9.x, available on the public workstations at the Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre. The exercises in the book are written for ArcView 3.x.
