Japanese Art Night with ROAAr and JSAM

three japanese prints

McGill ROAAr, in collaboration with JSAM (Japanese Seinen Association of Montreal), would like to invite you to an evening of wonderful immersion in Japanese Art, ranging from the Edo Period to the present day!

Are you looking to unwind after a long day? Is the thought of incoming final exams affecting your mood? Lift your spirits by visiting the Colgate Room on the 4th floor of the McLennan Library building for two hours of art viewing, hot tea and mingling with fellow enthusiasts of Japanese Art and Culture!

Alexis Janssen and Hugo Barsacq-Camard, interns at the Visual Arts Collection, a unit of ROAAr, will host a short lecture presenting the art. The speakers will also touch upon the breakthroughs and challenges that they have faced working with identifying seals and symbols present in the artworks. It will be a lecture that you surely do not want to miss, so make sure you arrive on time!

Date: April 11th, 2023 5 PM

Location: Colgate Room, McGill Rare Books and Special Collections, 4th Floor McLennan Library Building, 3459 rue McTavish
