Book borrowing made easy with Sofia

As of May 5, a new feature in the Sofia Discovery tool will make it easy to request books directly from the other 18 university libraries across Québec.

Reserve the book you want by clicking the “Request/Hold” button in the Sofia record, whether the book is held at McGill University Library or at another Québec University Library. Once the request is made, the book will be held for you to pick up at your selected location. Requests for other types of items, for example, DVDs or print journals will continue to be processed through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service.

You may consult your loans and requests made in the Québec University Library network at any time when you sign into your Sofia account (My account).
