Join us for a lunchtime lecture exploring the whimsical illustrations of Alice in Wonderland.

Dr. Leo John De Freitas is a graduate of the Royal College of Art (RCA) and author of Sir John Tenniel's illustrations to Lewis Carroll's Alice's adventures in Wonderland & Through the looking-glass (London: Macmillan, 1988). Since 1986 he has lectured and written on the history of illustration and between 1986 and 2003 he was the organiser of the Victoria and Albert’s annual illustration awards. De Freitas operates Graphicus Touring, his own cultural venture which creates and tours exhibitions of excellence in the graphics arts.
