Biography: 

Established in 1966 in memory of Nathalie Clair-Feldman by family, friends, and colleagues. Nathalie was a trailblazer in the 1950s, becoming the first female principal double bass player at the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Awarded by the Schulich School of Music on the recommendation of the String Area Committee to a Double Bass student. Preference will be given to a student facing systemic barriers in education.
