Student Wellness at Schulich

At the Schulich School of Music, student wellness is not just a priority—it's a core value and a foundation for success.

We are committed to supporting the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of our students through dedicated resources like the Applied Performance Science Hub, which helps students learn about and navigate the demands of music performance, and the Student Wellness Hub, which offers services focused on awareness, prevention, and early intervention. These initiatives create a nurturing environment that empowers students to thrive.

Student Wellness Hub

All Music students have access to mental health support through the Student Wellness Hub, where you can book confidential 1:1 appointment with:

  • Counsellors (by phone)
  • Access Advisors (online)
  • Local Wellness Advisors (LWA) (online)
Given that there is no LWA at the Schulich School of Music taking 1-on-1 appointments, if there is an LWA that is part of a community in which you are a member (i.e., an international student, a member of the 2S or LGBTQIA+ communities, a residence student, a graduate student, a racialized student) you can book directly with them on the LWA booking site.

These professionals are here to listen, support, and equip you with strategies to navigate whatever you're experiencing.

24/7 & Community-Based Support

  • GuardMe– Free, 24/7 counselling for McGill students via phone, chat, or scheduled appointments. Download the free Telus app here: gmssp.org
  • Info-Santé (Quebec) – Dial 811 from a Canadian phone to speak with a nurse (option 1) or a social worker (option 2)
