The Trottier Institute for Sustainability in Engineering and Design (TISED) was created thanks to a generous donation of $10 million from McGill University alumnus Lorne Trottier through the Lorne Trottier Family Foundation. It builds upon the foundation laid by the Institute for Sustainability in Engineering and Design (ISEAD), established in 2010 with the support of another dedicated alumnus, Ram Panda.
Located within McGill University, TISED has grown to offer a range of interdisciplinary courses for students. These courses provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address sustainability challenges from an engineering and design perspective. The institute also offers numerous funding opportunities to support research initiatives to advance sustainability and promote innovative solutions.
