Biographical Sketch

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutrition from McGill University, I earned a medical degree from Laval University in Quebec City. I then completed residency training in internal medicine at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Québec, followed by a fellowship in adult endocrinology at the McGill University Health Center. I also pursued additional clinical and research training in Quebec City on the metabolic effects of bariatric surgery with Dr. Claudia Gagnon. I joined the Attending Staff of the MUHC Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism as well as the McGill Department of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in July 2017. Currently, I am also the Program Director of the McGill University Endocrinology and Metabolism Residency Training Program.

Research or Clinical Activities

I have clinical duties at both the Royal Victoria Hospital and Montreal General Hospital, including participation in the multidisciplinary bariatric surgery clinic and obesity clinic, where I am actively involved in teaching students and supervising medical residents.

My special interest lies in obesity, weight management and bariatric surgery. My research focuses on the nutritional, metabolic and bone effects of obesity and bariatric surgery. I am currently collaborating on clinical research on the bone effects after bariatric surgery, through funding by a Diabetes Canada research grant.
