McGill University’s New Residence Hall is a 15-storey building constructed in 1975 and located at the northeast corner of the intersection of avenue du Parc and rue Prince-Arthur. Formerly a hotel, it now houses student residences.

The project consists of the complete replacement of block facing on the building facades and the repair of concrete surfaces. The work includes the replacement of the insulation in the exterior walls and of the window seals, which will increase the building’s thermal comfort and energy efficiency.

Phase 1:

  • April – December 2023, May (starting after student move-out) – December 2024
  • North façade, portions of East and West façades

Phase 2:

  • 2025 (starting after student move-out), 2026
  • South façade, portions of West and East façades
