The Strathcona Music Building, built in 1895 and situated on Sherbrooke Street, is one of McGill’s heritage buildings. It is home to the Schulich School of Music. The restoration of the building envelope includes the consolidation of the foundations, the structural reinforcement of the gables and roofs, the repair of the masonry walls and the replacement of the windows. The work will be carried out over multiple years. Most of the work will be done during the summer months to reduce disruptions to the building occupants.
