Negotiation Update: Post-doctoral Fellows

Negotiations for Post-doctoral Fellows (Researchers) between AMURE and McGill began in June of 2021 and the parties have met regularly since then. The parties have been able to discuss and come to agreement on several non-monetary elements within the collective agreement. In February 2022, the parties obtained the assistance of a Conciliator appointed by the Ministère du Travail to assist them in progressing towards an agreement.

Since May 2022, the parties have presented and discussed in detail their respective monetary proposals. On October 17, 2022, the employer representatives presented a global proposal on all pending non-monetary and monetary items. This proposal is currently being reviewed by the AMURE Post-docs negotiation committee. The parties are making some progress in these discussions and more meetings will be scheduled in the weeks to come.
