Melanie’s research program focuses on mindfulness and self-compassion as protective factors for undergraduate students using addictive behaviours in attempt to cope with psychological distress. She has completed two external practicums in the McGill University Health Centre’s Addictions Unit and has been involved in multiple mental health initiatives on campus aimed at improving student mental health.
