Repatriated Canadians and foreign nationals are obliged to inform the border services officer about unaccompanied goods. When your goods arrive in Montreal from the US or overseas, there are Customs requirements.
Ensuring Customs clearance is the responsibility of the staff member and must be done in person at the Canada Customs Office located at 400 Place d'Youville in Montreal. Any bonded storage fees that are incurred by the University due to a staff member’s unavailability will be charged to the staff member. Foreign nationals must have a valid work permit before their goods will be released.
