Conference Hotel

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Delta Montreal Hotel, at a special conference rate of $139/night (plus an extra $20 for each additional adult sharing a room). The Delta is an excellent hotel, featuring spacious rooms and, of course, complimentary wi-fi in all rooms. It is located right downtown, a short walking distance from the McGill campus. The hotel will also host the conference banquet on Saturday evening, 10 May 2014.

To book your room online at the conference rate, click here.  Rooms are limited, so make your reservations as early as possible. To receive the special conference group rate, you must reserve your room no later than Friday, April 4, 2014.

Note: the special group rate period has closed. However, you may still be eligible to receive a disconded rate at the Delta Montreal and other hotels near the McGill campus through the McGill University hotels program. Through this program, all guests of the university receive special negotiated rates, sometime considerably lower than the standard day rate, at several hotels. When you call the Delta or another hotal downtown to book your room, mention that you area  guest of the university and inquire about any special rate. These rates are negtiated by the university; the conference organizers are not in any way involved with this program. For more information about the McGill hotels program, click here.

On-campus Accommodations (Concordia University)

Alternatively, conference attendees can stay in student housing. Unfortunately, McGill University cannot make student housing vailable to the public before May 15. However, participants can reserve rooms in the Grey Nuns Residence, which is a student housing facility at nearby Concordia University. Single rooms at the Grey Nuns Residence start at around $50 per night, and feature dorm-like accommodations (bed and desk, wired internet in room, tv in common room, shared washrooms). The Grey Nuns Residence is about 2km from the Arts Building on the McGill Campus, where the conference is being held. This is about a twenty to twenty-five minute walk, or you can take the metro green line (one stop) or a public bus (#24 on Sherbrooke street) and arrive at the McGill campus in a few minutes. For more information on the Grey Nuns Residence or to reserve a room, go to the Concordia University Summer Housing website
