Personal Investing: What’s Really Important? (Online)

This session will provide:
- An overview of McGill Personal Finance Essentials (MPFE), a free online course offered in collaboration with RBC Future Launch and The Globe and Mail. MPFE is available in English and French and is taught by professors in the Desautels Faculty of Management. The course covers budgeting, borrowing, real estate and beyond and was developed to help Canadians improve their financial literacy. It was recently updated to address some of today’s most relevant topics such as cryptocurrencies and responsible investing.
- An introduction to Investing: what are the main choices, from stocks to bonds, mutual funds and GICs, and most importantly, what are the common mistakes that need to be avoided?
