Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is located 80 km southeast of Montreal. The teaching site is part of the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Montérégie Ouest.

Lodging
Type of Lodging
Lodging is provided by the establishment and is located at a short driving distance from the hospital and clinic. Trainees are lodged in a shared apartment. They each have a private room and share common gender-neutral areas (bathroom, kitchen, living room).
Should all four rooms in the shared apartment be filled, trainees will be housed elsewhere.
Lodging can be available as of the evening before the rotation. Trainees are expected at the hospital at 8:30am on the first day of their rotation.
► It is important that everyone does their share to keep all common areas clean and safe at any time.

Transportation
Trainees can travel to the site by bus or car. It is recommended to have a car as this will allow more mobility.
Depending on the location of their base teaching site, each trainee receives a stipend to help pay for transportation costs. For more information, see the allocation table.
Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.
NOTE: For all students making their own arrangements. All students will be required to attend a mandatory Progress Test at the end of each block. Please do not make any travel arrangements before confirming the exact date of your test.
Traveling by car
• The Centre hospitalier du Suroît is a 1-hour drive from Montreal.
Traveling by bus
• The bus company that serves Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is CITSO (Conseil intermunicipal de tranport du Sud-Ouest). The departure point is the bus terminus located at the Angrignon metro station. The bus stop for Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is located right next to the hospital.
