General Description

Location

GMF du Lac Saint-François is located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield in the Montérégie-Ouest region, about 65 km from Montreal. The teaching site works in collaboration with the CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest to manage clinical rotations.

  • Spoken: French, English is useful
  • Charting: French, English possible

Clinical Exposure and Learning Experiences

Rotation primarily done in Clinc

Trainees may be exposed to:

  • Patient follow ups by appointment
  • Walk-in clinic
  • Obstetrics call at Suroit Hospital
  • ER at Suroit Hospital
  • Hospitalization at Suroit Hospital

Transportation

A car is required for this rotation in order to travel between the lodging and the clinic. Depending on the location of their base teaching site, each trainee receives a stipend to help pay for transportation costs. Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.
