General Description

LOCATION
The Family Medicine rotation will be at the futur GMF-U located in Vaudreuil-Soulange, an off-island suburb of Montreal. Used as a rural site for 2023-2024 only, not eligible for stipends (less than 50 km). The teaching site is located on the territory of the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Montérégie Ouest.

Lodging

Lodging is not provided by the establishment as it is limited in the area. Trainees are expected to travel morning and night. 

Upon request, lodging may be available in-region within driving distance to the site.

Transportation

Trainees can travel to the site by car or by bus daily. Trainees will not be eligible for stipends.

Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.


TRAVELING BY BUS

A few options are possible through EXO:

1- From the West Island: Bus line 7 (Gare Vaudreuil/John Abbott/ Pointe-Claire) to the Terminus Vaudreuil Quai 12. It is then a 10-minute walk to the clinic.

2- From Côte-Vertu: Bus line 40 (Express Vaudreuil - Terminus Côte-Vertu) to the Terminus Vaudreuil Quai 13. It is then a 10-minute walk to the clinic.

TRAVELING BY CAR

Take Autoroute 40 West, then take exit 32 on the left towards Autoroute 30. Continue on Autoroute 30 and take exit 2 to merge onto Boul. de la Cité-des-Jeunes. Turn left onto Boul. de la Gare; the clinic is on the right-hand side of the street.
