Description
The left ventricle has been opened anteriorly and shows an aortic valve composed of two leaflets (long arrow shows an intact leaflet; two short arrows show the other leaflet cut in two during prosection). The left ventricle wall measures 1 cm, consistent with hypertrophy secondary to valve stenosis.
