The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at McGill University is a five-year program dedicated to educating residents in clinical obstetrics and gynecology, the relevant clinical and basic sciences, and the subspecialties of the discipline.
The curriculum follows the training requirements of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and will evolve as Competency Based Medical Education rolls-out in 2019.
Residents are continuously encouraged to broaden their horizons by participating in basic and clinical research projects as well as developing global health initiatives.
The Faculty of Medicine collaborates with four affiliated teaching hospitals: the McGill University Health Center (MUHC), the Jewish General Hospital (JGH), St-Mary’s Hospital (SMH) and Lasalle General Hospital. The training sites offer our residents a comprehensive review of issues in Women's Health through the diverse patient population they serve and the invaluable experiences residents gain prepares them for they clinical career.
Canadian trained final-year medical students and those who have approved post-graduate training may apply to the Program. Please refer to the McGill PGME office website for details on the application process.
