Music Theory; B.Mus. (Minor)

Program Overview

The Minor in Music Theory is intended primarily for students who wish to take more theory than the sequence required in the core curriculum. The additional theory options available include courses focused on analysis, writing techniques, and current theoretical scholarship. The minor provides a means for music students to be recognized at graduation for their interest and focus on Music Theory and Analysis.

Enrollment

This minor program is open to all students (with the exception of students in the B.Mus. Major in Theory).

Requirements

Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) - Minor Music Theory (18 Credits)

Application Deadline: May 15. Late applications will be accepted at the discretion of the department.
