Priority Objectives
Address needs and expectations of English-speaking mental health clients in real time, without intermediaries (translators); use two-way communication strategies to create links and encourage helping relationships; enable intake staff to provide clear, accurate answers to queries from English-speaking clients and health care partners; improve English speakers’ access to the information released through public communications.
Process incoming clients by telephone or in person; clearly understand clients’ needs and route clients to the proper source; establish communication that builds trust between client and worker; clearly convey instructions to clients or their family; share actively in dispensing care and services; establish follow up mechanisms.
