Priority Objectives
Ensure that client English-speaking families have access to reports written in English by the social worker assigned to their Juvenile Court case.
Improve the quality of psychosocial intervention within all institutions in the region.
Ensure that perinatal services are consistently more accessible to English-speakers in all health and social services centres.

Heritage College: for the French second language and psychosocial intervention components.
Cégep de l’Outaouais: Service de formation aux enterprises: for the intake, health and perinatal service components.
Services Linguistiques Nouvelles Avenues: for the Info-Santé component and the production of Juvenile Court reports.

Description of Planned Activities
Needs analysis; placement testing; distance education if deemed relevant, individualized learning; training evaluation; training certification.

Maintenance of acquired skills and development activities:
The Agency intends to work together with OHSSN (Outaouais Health and Social Services Network) to establish a learning retention and development program using a twinning approach. This concept encourages the regular practice of English once a week in an informal setting, with participants paired with English-speaking volunteers individually or in small groups. The team of volunteers will be offered a training session and tools. Plans call for continuing this activity until March 31, 2008.
