Karina González Otárula

 

Karina González Otárula received her MD in 2009 from the National University of Cuyo, Argentina. She completed her Neurology Residency training in 2014 at FLENI in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

She developed a special interest in Epilepsy and in 2013 accomplished a 3-months course in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA. She then joined the Epilepsy Department at FLENI in 2014.


In July 2015 she was awarded with the Friederick Anderman Clinical/Research Fellowship in Epileptology and EEG.

In June 2016 she completed the first clinical year of her fellowship under the supervision of Dr. François Dubeau and Dr. Eliane Kobayashi, and obtained the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (CSCN) Diplomate in Electroencephalography.

In July 2016 she joined Dr. Gotman’s Lab to conduct a project that combines high frequency oscillations and EEG-fMRI.
