From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Young female doctor from Brazil, long hair, pensive look

TaissaFerrari Marinho graduated from medical school (2005) at Universidade do Oeste Paulista, Brazil, and obtained a board certification in Neurology in 2009.Later, after completing the two-year fellowship in the epilepsy sector at Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo, Brazil, she got her board certification in Clinical Neurophysiology (2010). She also obtained a MSc degree (2012) with an original study about semiology of auras in temporal lobe epilepsy patients.

In April 2013 she joined the Montreal Neurological Institute for a postdoctoral fellowship in epilepsy, under the supervision of Dr. Gotman and Dr. Dubeau. Her current research focuses on the evaluation of high-frequency oscillations in intracranial EEG recordings of patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy and in scalp EEG recordings of ICU patients.
