From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Satsuki Watanabe

Satsuki Watanabe obtained her medical degree (2004) at the University of Yamanashi in Japan and became a designated psychiatrist (2010) under the Japan Mental Health and Welfare Law. During her residency with the National Center Hospital of Neurology and Psychiatry, she completed two Epilepsy Programs in the Psychiatry Division and the Neurosurgery Division. She also obtained a board certification as a clinical epileptologist (2012) from the Japan Epilepsy Society.

She is currently a PhD candidate at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. To continue her passion for medical analysis, in November 2012, Dr. Watanabe joined Dr. Gotman’s research laboratory as a postdoctoral fellow. Her current research focuses on combined
